2011 - Barney Eagan
Barney Eagan is being inducted into the Michigan State USBC BA Hall of Fame for his dedication to the sport of bowling and the Michigan State association in the Meritorious Service category.
On the local level Eagan first served on the Clio/Montrose Bowling Association Board of Directors from 1975 through 1979. In 1986 he was elected to the Greater Muskegon BA Board of Directors where he served for 16 years and was president in 1996. Was instrumental in the formation of the local Hall of Fame and was elected to it in 2001. He currently serves as president of the local Hall of Fame. A certified lane inspector and youth coach are also among his accomplishments.
On the state level he was elected to the Michigan State BA Board of Directors in 1995 and was hired as Association Manager in 2005. He was selected as Director of the Year in 2001.
Eagan, a bowler for over 50 years, boasts a high average of 209, high game of 289 and high series of 754.
