1979 - Edna Dalton Pikulinski

Mrs. Edna (Dalton) Pikulinski of Dearborn, Michigan was a very active bowler as a member of the Detroit WBA. She retired in 1974 while still carrying an average of 186.

Local records include three Team Championships, one Doubles and one All Events. In 1947 Edna captured the Michigan WBA All Events title and missed the Singles title by one pin. Additional State titles include three Team Championships in 1950, 1955 and 1956 and in 1953 the Doubles title while bowling with her partner, Hulda Otten.

Her outstanding performance as a bowler is signified by her long list of high scores which includes two 700 series and many high games of 270 right up to and including that “once in a life time” 300 game.

High scores were not her only asset. She was strictly a Team Bowler and a perfectionist in performing her duties as a league officer.

How nice it would be to be remembered as being an – ACTIVE BOWLER – GOOD – WILL AMBASSADOR – FAITHFUL and to have it said “She never missed a night of bowling in 20 years.”
